Whether this is your first time here or not, we would like to let you in on a
few things we deem important. These things apply both to the website and our gaming server
First off, this is a privately owned server that allows public access to it. Why? Because we feel there are online gamers who want a place to play without all the nonsense of cursing or questionable play.
Second, there are some rules that we feel are important. They are as follows for the game server:
- Spawn Camping is allowed, but you may not enter spawn. Nor may you camp spawn for the sole purpose of running up your score and/or target practice.
- No use of weapons without an objective or enemy in front of you.
- Friendly Fire is always on.
- No language or names that are offensive. And we define what is offensive, not you.
- No advertising or recruiting.
- No quick switching to bypass the reload animations.
- Use of the spectator function to cheat the respawn timer will result in a ban.
- Respect all players.
- When teams are less than 6 vs. 6, don't use sniper rifles, MGs or random weapons.
- The 95th reserves the right to kick any player that is not actively helping their team try to win the map.
These are the rules for the website:
- No offensive language.
- No advertising of clans unless approved by Site Admin.
- Be respectful of the 95th. This is our home, don't trash it.
If you follow these simple rules, you will have a long and entertaining time here. If you can't follow these simple rules, your stay be will short.

History of the 95th
Monday, May 14 @ 21:13:05 MST by admin (955 reads) | We fight as a family, we win as a team" is the current moniker of the 95th Rifles, one of the oldest Day of Defeat gaming clans on the internet. While this moniker may not go all the way back to the clan founding, it is the basis for our family today. Major Gen Obsidianknight leads a 68 strong clan composed from members in North America and Europe. Begun in early 2001 by two brothers, Brad "Baboo" and Bruce "Max Shrek", the 95th was born from the interest of the founders in author Bernard Cornwell and his Sharpe Series of novels. Originally founded as the 95th Rifles Reserve [95th/2], the clan under went two major changes as the Virginia Server regulars [VSR], Maryland Server Regulars [MSR], briefing adopting the Airborne [AB] tag, before consolidating as the 95th Rifles [95th]. Decisive and strong leadership has always been the foundation of the 95th Rifles with only four successive leaders: Baboo, Deerslayir, Bayou Rat, and Obsidianknight. The clan uses a typical military rank structure and is comprised of three companies and special staff. Our servers have been physically located in Arkansas, Maryland, and Virginia, before coming to rest in it's present home in Chicago. Unique to the 95th Rifles is a strong "regulars" following who are part of the 95th family. Sustained entirely by its clan members and regulars, the 95th Rifles in the premiere Day of Defeat clan on the internet today. As a family friendly server, you can always count on strong clan leadership and admin oversight, ensuring our servers are "family friendly" and focused on tactical TEAM play to win!
